About the Role:
*Job Type: Part-Time
*Salary: $26.00–$29.00 per hour
*Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join our team in Barrie. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional looking for consistent part-time hours. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations and assisting with administrative and HR-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist with accounts payable and receivable (A/P and A/R) processes
*Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders
*Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
*Maintain and update financial records and filing systems
*Support month-end and year-end accounting activities
*Assist with payroll processing
*Respond to internal and vendor inquiries
*Perform general administrative duties (filing, data entry, etc.)
*Provide support during audits, budgeting, and reporting
*Assist with HR-related tasks as needed
Qualifications:
*3–5 years of experience in a similar accounting role
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
*Experience with accounting software, specifically SAP
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
*Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information
*Effective communication and time management abilities
