Large, well known organization based in Burnaby is looking to hire a Financial Analyst.
This will be a 3-month temporary position, with the possibility of extension.

Location: Burnaby - this will be an in-office role


Salary – $25-28/hr

Primary duties will include:

• The Financial Analyst manages daily cashflow, prepares Long Term Cashflow Forecast and rolling Cashflow Forecast.
• Assists with month-end closing, account reconciliations and analyses and year-end audit preparation
• Assist the Treasury Manager with cash flow-related account reconciliations
• Assist with rolling out, supporting, and implementing the cash flow forecasting system.
• Data Gathering and Validation; Identify and resolve data discrepancies.
• System Retesting and Training:
• Maintain, update, or create documentation related to the cash flow forecasting process, data input guidelines, and reporting procedures.
• Prepare presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for management.
• Provide ongoing support to finance team members after the system rollout, addressing questions and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as needed to assist the Cash Management team.
• Assists with special projects to investigate, analyze, resolve, and report findings.



Requirements:

• Solid experience in the accounting and financial analysis role
• Strong analytical, investigative, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines with changing priorities
• Able to develop and maintain effective communication and internal controls for the cash management function
• Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP system an asset
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
• Accounting designation or currently enrolled in the CPA program is an asset
