Forklift Operator – Electric Counterbalance (Rotating Shifts)
Location: Hamilton, ON
Pay Rate: $21.25/hour + applicable shift premiums

Shift Schedule:
Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM – $21.25/hour

Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM – $21.75/hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator with experience in operating electric counterbalance forklifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in material handling within a manufacturing or warehouse environment, particularly with large, heavy-duty bins.

Key Responsibilities:
Forklift Operation: Operate an 8000lb electric counterbalance forklift to lift and stack loads, including wide bumper bins up to 2000lbs each.

Material Handling: Transport and position bins with pin footings, ensuring precise placement on 4 pins without striking other bins.

Loading/Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading products on the docks and feeding or removing products from production lines.

Physical Tasks: Lift up to 50lbs as required and perform other production-related tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to company policies and safety rules, wear appropriate safety equipment, and report any equipment malfunctions.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years operating electric counterbalance forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Certification: Valid 3rd party forklift certification or in-house license (recently expired certifications may be considered).


Skills: Ability to read blueprints/drawings and follow engineering instructions; proficient in using various measuring instruments and hand/power tools.

Crane Training: Asset but not required.


Work Environment: Experience in a manufacturing or automotive setting preferred; warehouse experience may be considered.

Physical Requirements: Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 50lbs.
