Our downtown Vancouver real estate development client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for an 18 month contract.

**Competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000**

Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review monthly financial statements for development and rental properties
* Perform monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
* Oversee trial balance integrity, journal entries, and maintenance of accounting schedules
* Support year-end financial statements, working papers, and corporate/partnership tax filings
* Coordinate with external accountants for audits, reviews, and compliance requirements
* Manage project accounting including cash flow monitoring, progress draws, equity calls, and funding requirements
* Oversee operational accounting functions including vendor payments, reconciliations, GST, rent rolls, and loan compliance
* Support budgeting, reporting templates, acquisitions, and provide guidance to accounting staff as needed

Successful Candidate:
* Designated CPA or near completion
* Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
* 4-5+ years full cycle accounting experience within the real estate development sector
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
