A growing electrical, civil construction, and engineering services company operating across the Greater Toronto Area is seeking an experienced 310T Truck & Equipment Mechanic to join their team.

This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of trucks and construction equipment, ensuring all vehicles and machinery operate safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, experience working with heavy equipment and trucks, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Compensation & Benefits

- Steady day shift – 8.5 hour shifts starting between 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Plenty of overtime available
- $600 annual allowance for work boots and tools
- Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, EAP) – 80/20 employer contribution
- RRSP matching up to 3%
- Annual merit increases starting at 4%, based on performance

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service trucks and mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across fleet vehicles and machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer specifications
- Complete service calls and emergency repairs as required
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Work closely with the Fleet Manager and other departments to maintain fleet reliability

Equipment & Systems Worked On:

Pickup trucks (F150), Bucket trucks,
Hydrovac trucks, Welding machines,
Forklifts, Compressors, Small engines,
Trailers, Excavation equipment,
Crane and aerial devices

Mechanical Duties:

- Engine diagnostics, repair, and overhaul
- Diesel engine diagnostics
- Front-end components
- Steering and suspension systems
- Air brake diagnostics and repair
- Ignition and electrical systems
- Automatic and manual transmissions
- AC, heating, and cooling systems
- Drive train repairs
- Trailer repairs
- Welding (electric and gas)
- Routine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments

Qualifications:

- 310T Truck & Coach Technician License (required)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working in the trade
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
- DZ license considered an asset
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks that require bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
