Accounts Payable Clerk – Afternoon Shift (Temp-to-Perm)
Location: Mississauga, ON (on-site)
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm (Eligible for permanent hire after 520 hours)
Background Check: Criminal background clearance required

Key Responsibilities:
Review and process driver paperwork to ensure timely and accurate pay
Enter invoice data into internal systems and validate payment information
Perform audits and reconcile invoices in line with internal policy
Collaborate with the freight audit team to resolve any discrepancies
Reconcile carrier aging reports and follow up on outstanding items
Respond to payment-related inquiries from both internal departments and external vendors via phone and email
Provide supporting documentation for payments when required
Contribute to additional finance-related tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 3 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, or a related field
Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Excellent attention to detail and comfort working with numerical data
Strong keyboarding and data entry skills
Experience with Truckmate (TMW) is a definite asset
Able to manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Effective communicator who can work both independently and as part of a team
Trustworthy, reliable, and highly organised
