Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturing organization in Bowmanville, ON. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys account follow-up, reconciliations, payment posting, billing issue resolution, and supporting month-end reporting.
The Accounts Receivable Coordinator will join a collaborative finance team that values accuracy, accountability, and strong communication. Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable follow-ups, customer account reconciliations, monthly statements, and monthly A/R report comments.
- Post customer payments including cheques, direct deposits, and EFTs, and prepare bank deposits accurately and on time.
- Resolve billing issues, process sales credit notes, participate in customer complaint resolution, and support credit-related decisions.
- Set up customer cards and sub-accounts, complete credit checks through Equifax, and approve orders according to credit limits.
- Print, review, and check daily sales orders and purchase orders for posting, and create and process journal entries as required.
- Assist management with financial analysis, monthly and yearly audits, WSIB and insurance certificate requests, and provide backup support for Accounts Payable and administrative order documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Location: Bowmanville, ON.
- Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule with 2 days per week in office.

- Basic Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Experience working with ERP systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, timely work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer follow-up and internal coordination.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven finance environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 or more years of accounting or accounts receivable experience.
- Some accounts payable experience is preferred.
- Experience with NAV is an asset.
- Manufacturing industry experience is an asset.
- Experience supporting monthly or yearly audits is an asset.
