Job Summary
We are recruiting for an Air Import Coordinator in Etobicoke, ON for a direct hire opportunity within the travel, transportation, and logistics industry. This fully on-site role is ideal for a detail-oriented freight forwarding professional who enjoys managing international air shipments from pre-alert and arrival through customs clearance and final delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Review air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, and related import documentation for accuracy.
- Track incoming air shipments and flights while following up on delays, customs holds, missing documents, and shipment exceptions.
- Prepare or review ACI and eManifest information and coordinate with customs brokers to support timely clearance.
- Arrange pickups, warehouse coordination, and final deliveries with carriers and service providers.
- Communicate shipment updates to customers and internal teams in a timely, professional manner.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and support billing accuracy for completed files.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $50,000 to $55,000 per year.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Work arrangement: Fully on site.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage air import shipments from pre-alert and arrival through customs clearance and final delivery.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, warehouses, and customers to keep shipments moving.
- Review import documentation and shipment data for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain shipment visibility, customer communication, and accurate billing records.
- At least 2 years of air import experience.
- Knowledge of MAWB, HAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, and related freight documentation.
- Understanding of Canadian customs processes, ACI, and eManifest requirements.
- Experience using freight forwarding or transportation management software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow up professionally with customers, brokers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Road freight coordination experience is an asset.
- EDI experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in a freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics office environment is preferred.
