We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join a growing organization specializing in industrial automation and manufacturing solutions. This role is focused on identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and driving sales growth within highly technical industries.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling into automation, medical/pharmaceutical, food processing, packaging, or equipment manufacturing environments and will be comfortable managing the full sales cycle—from lead generation to closing.

This position is office-based in Grimsby, Ontario, with occasional travel for client meetings and industry events.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 (salary only, no commission)
Annual Bonus: Typically $2,000 – $5,000, paid twice per year
Overtime pay after 40 hours

Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Flexible start time option: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities through research, prospecting, and cold outreach
Build strong relationships with new and existing clients
Gather customer requirements and identify opportunities for automation solutions
Collaborate with internal teams including design, electrical, engineering, and assembly to develop technical solutions
Prepare and deliver presentations and solution demonstrations
Manage and track the sales process using CRM systems
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, networking events, and association meetings
Work with marketing teams to develop sales materials and presentations
Organize and deliver “Lunch and Learn” sessions for potential clients
Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing

Qualifications
6–8+ years of experience in a business development or technical sales role
Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
Experience selling within one or more of the following industries:
Industrial automation
Medical or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Food processing
Packaging
Equipment or machinery manufacturing
Automotive manufacturing
Experience using CRM platforms to manage the sales pipeline (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, or similar)
Strong ability to generate leads, qualify opportunities, and close deals
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and engineering teams
Valid passport and ability to travel approximately 10–20% for client meetings and trade shows
