The OS&D Coordinator is responsible for managing and resolving all freight exceptions related to overages, shortages, and damages. This role involves investigating claims, coordinating with carriers, customers, and vendors, and ensuring timely and accurate resolution. The Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining strong relationships while minimizing financial loss and operational disruption.
Position: Claims Administrator- Brokerage
Salary: 60-85K (flexible based on experience)
Hours: 9AM-5:30PM Mon-Fri
Locations: Etobicoke, ON M8W 1Z7 ** FULLY ON SITE **

Job Description
Qualifications:
2–3 years of experience in freight logistics, transportation operations, or logistics claims in a non asset based company
LTL experience is considered an asset
Strong understanding of cargo claims processes and OS&D handling
Solid knowledge of transportation documentation, including BOLs, PODs, and carrier freight claims
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end freight claims (loss, damage, shortage, delay) from intake through investigation, liability determination, and final resolution
Review and validate documentation including BOLs, PODs, invoices, inspection reports, and carrier contracts/tariffs
Receive, review, and process all OS&D reports from carriers, partners, and customers
File claims with carriers, insurers, and third parties within required timelines, ensuring full follow-through to closure
Coordinate freight recovery, reconsignment, or return arrangements with carriers and customers as needed
Review declared shipment values, ensure compliance with liability limits, and coordinate insurance coverage
Collaborate closely with operations to provide timely updates on claim status
Identify recurring issues and support the development of corrective actions to reduce OS&D occurrences
Ensure all OS&D claims are resolved in compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding claims and OS&D matters
