Job Summary
We are hiring a DZ Delivery Driver for a direct hire opportunity in Etobicoke, ON within the food and beverage production industry. This is an excellent role for an experienced DZ or AZ licensed driver who enjoys local delivery work, customer interaction, and being part of a supportive, team-focused workplace.
The DZ Delivery Driver will operate a 5-ton, 26 ft truck with a tailgate, complete deliveries and pickups, perform temperature control checks for food products, and support loading and unloading activities. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a DZ truck safely and professionally for local deliveries and pickups throughout the service area, including downtown routes.
- Load assigned truck with support from the dock team, including full skids, pallets, boxes, totes, and crates.
- Complete food delivery requirements, including temperature control checks and proper handling of temperature-sensitive products.
- Use a phone-based delivery app to track deliveries, pickups, and route activity.
- Return empty crates and skids, unload returned items, apply bar codes to pickups, and record weights accurately.
- Perform physical delivery duties, including occasional hand-bombing and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire, permanent opportunity.
- Pay: $31.00 to $33.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday day shift, with staggered starts typically between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
- Standard shift: 8-hour days with unpaid break time.
- Weekend availability required, initially about once per month with potential to increase.
- Benefits 100% paid after 3 months.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Safely operate a 5-ton, 26 ft truck with a tailgate for food product deliveries and pickups.
- Complete local delivery routes, pickups, returns, and documentation using a mobile delivery app.
- Load and unload freight, including skids, pallets, boxes, totes, crates, and occasional hand-bombing.
- Perform temperature control checks and support accurate handling of food products.
- Minimum 3 years of DZ driving experience required.
- Valid DZ or AZ license required.
- Clean driver’s abstract required.
- Experience driving downtown required.
- Experience operating a 5-ton truck, 26 ft truck, and tailgate equipment required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Flexible availability for occasional weekend work.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused communication style.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Criminal background check required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset.
- Forklift certification is an asset.
