We are seeking an experienced Red Seal Electrical Powerline Technician for a full-time, permanent direct hire opportunity supporting electrical utility construction projects across the GTA. Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, including power lines, cables, transformers, and related equipment.
- Construct overhead electrical lines by setting and framing poles, stringing conductors, installing equipment, and energizing conductors.
- Build underground electrical systems, including installation of ducts and conductors, terminations, and system energization.
- Perform utility connections and disconnections while following electrical codes, company procedures, and job site safety requirements.
- Safely operate bucket trucks, Radial Boom Derricks, and other heavy-duty utility equipment as required.
- Work collaboratively with crew members to complete utility construction and maintenance projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Install, repair, and troubleshoot overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
- Construct and energize primary and secondary overhead and underground electrical systems.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot transformers and related utility electrical equipment.
- Operate utility equipment and work safely at heights in active outdoor construction environments.

MUST HAVE:  
- Red Seal Powerline Technician Certificate is required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant powerline technician experience is preferred based on the experience level for this role.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract is required.
- Working at Heights training is required.
- Experience working on overhead and/or underground electrical distribution systems is required.
- Experience with powerline construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair is required.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate bucket trucks and Radial Boom Derricks is required.
- Letter of experience from previous employer - insurance is required.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, electrical safety procedures, and safe work practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions and active utility construction environments.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience on GTA utility, municipal, developer, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience with both overhead and underground distribution systems.
- Experience operating bucket trucks, Radial Boom Derricks, or similar heavy-duty utility equipment.
- Familiarity with unionized construction environments and utility construction safety standards.
