A well-established electrical, civil construction, and engineering services company operating across the Greater Toronto Area is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and oversee company-wide safety initiatives.

This position is responsible for managing all Environmental Health & Safety programs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and promoting a strong culture of safety across both field and office operations.

We are looking for a stable, experienced professional with strong leadership skills and clear communication abilities who can work closely with operations teams, management, and regulatory bodies.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $95,000 – $120,000 (based on experience)

Company vehicle, laptop, and cell phone provided

$600 annual allowance for work boots and tools

Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, EAP) – 80/20 employer contribution

RRSP matching up to 3%

Annual merit increases starting at 4%, based on performance

Steady day shift schedule

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and manage all Environmental Health & Safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Develop and implement company safety initiatives and compliance programs
- Ensure adherence to provincial regulations and industry safety standards
- Coordinate and track internal and external safety training
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Prepare documentation and reports for regulatory agencies and auditors
- Work closely with project managers, field staff, executives, and regulatory authorities
- Support safety improvements across construction projects and operational teams
- Maintain ongoing relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, ministries, and regulatory bodies

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant EHS experience within construction, utilities, or electrical distribution
- 5+ years experience in a management or senior supervisory safety role preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations including:
- Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA)
- Electrical Utility Safety Association rules (EUSR)
- Environmental Protection Act (EPA)
- Experience working in ISO and COR certified environments
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with a clean abstract
- Own reliable vehicle, company car can not be taken home
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when required
