Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in the 14th and Warden area. This role is ideal for a certified forklift professional with distribution, warehouse, shipping, and receiving experience who is looking for steady full-time hours and the potential to grow into a long-term position.
As a Forklift Operator, you will support daily warehouse operations by safely operating counterbalance and reach forklifts, moving product, loading and unloading pallets, and assisting with order fulfillment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance and reach forklifts safely and efficiently within a distribution environment.
- Load and unload pallets, trailers, and warehouse materials as required.
- Support shipping and receiving activities, including staging, moving, and organizing products.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for shipment.
- Wrap skids and ensure products are secured for storage or transportation.
- Perform general warehouse duties while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $21 per hour.
- Annual salary equivalent: $43,680 per year.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Operate counterbalance and reach forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Support shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, picking, packing, and skid wrapping.
- Move, stage, and organize products safely and accurately throughout the warehouse.
- Valid certification for both counterbalance and reach forklifts.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as part of regular warehouse duties.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling practices.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Good attention to detail when picking, packing, loading, and preparing orders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented shipping and receiving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving within a fast-paced warehouse.
- Experience wrapping skids, staging outbound orders, and supporting inventory movement.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to completing warehouse tasks.
