Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced General Labourer for a direct hire opportunity in a manufacturing and production environment in Newmarket, near Harry Walker Parkway and Green Lane. This role is ideal for a dependable, hands-on candidate who is comfortable using hand and power tools, working in a fast-paced shop setting, and supporting daily production goals.
The General Labourer will play an important role in material preparation, grinding, cleanup, and general production support. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labour duties in a manufacturing, fabrication, or remanufacturing environment.
- Use hand and power tools, including grinders and material preparation equipment, safely and effectively.
- Complete grinding, material preparation, cleanup, and general shop support tasks as assigned.
- Lift, carry, bend, stand, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Support daily production goals by working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Adapt to changing operational needs and assist with a variety of shop floor tasks.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $20 per hour.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Location: Newmarket, near Harry Walker Parkway and Green Lane.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform grinding, material preparation, cleanup, and general production support.
- Operate hand and power tools safely in a shop or manufacturing environment.
- Support production targets through consistent, reliable, hands-on work.
- Complete physically demanding tasks including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or remanufacturing environment.
- Experience using hand and power tools, including grinders and other material preparation equipment.
- Ability to follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role with repetitive movement and lifting.
- Able to work in a fast-paced production environment while meeting daily goals.
- Adaptable, dependable, eager to work, and willing to complete a variety of tasks as priorities change.

- Previous experience in a general labour, production, fabrication, or shop support role.
- Strong attendance, reliability, and a positive team-focused attitude.
- Experience supporting remanufacturing, material handling, or industrial production processes.
