Human Resources Business Partner

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support leadership and management across multiple divisions by providing strategic and operational Human Resources guidance. This role is responsible for a broad range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, health and safety coordination, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation. The HR Business Partner will work closely with leadership to support workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle recruitment including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, offer letters, onboarding, and new hire orientation
Partner with managers to support staffing needs, workforce planning, and talent retention
Provide guidance and coaching to leadership on HR policies, employment legislation, and best practices
Support employee performance management including reviews, development plans, attendance management, and performance improvement programs
Administer employee benefits, retirement savings programs, and employee assistance programs while responding to employee inquiries
Manage workplace injury claims, disability cases, and return-to-work programs
Ensure compliance with employment legislation including the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and Human Rights Code
Assist with the development and implementation of HR and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and programs
Participate in workplace investigations and support health and safety initiatives and meetings
Maintain employee records, HR databases, and prepare reports related to workforce metrics and training
Work collaboratively with payroll to support payroll administration, employee records, and documentation
Promote a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiatives

Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
CHRP or CHRL designation (or working toward designation) preferred
Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience
Minimum 3 years of Health & Safety experience
Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year
Work Location: In person
