Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Industrial Electrician for a direct hire opportunity in Windsor, ON within a fast-paced automotive JIT manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on electrical professional who enjoys troubleshooting automation systems, supporting production equipment, and helping keep critical manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently.
As an Industrial Electrician, you will work with automated equipment, PLCs, conveyors, robotics, lift assists, electrical panels, and facility systems. Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on electrical support for production and facility equipment, including automation, rail guided carts, conveyors, lift assists, robotics, and related systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, I/O modules, sensors, indicators, pushbuttons, torque tools, controllers, continuity testers, cables, and other electrical components.
- Install, dismantle, and safely secure transformers, high-voltage cables of 240V and above, and electrical panels.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability across production and facility operations.
- Complete Engineering and Maintenance Requests, support equipment overhauls, assist with installations and teardowns, and contribute to engineering projects.
- Document shift activities, maintain spare parts awareness, support 5S practices, and follow safety, quality, compliance, and IATF 16949 standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Provide electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance support for automotive JIT production and facility equipment.
- Support PLC, HMI, automation, robotics, conveyor, and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Complete maintenance requests, support engineering projects, and document shift work accurately.
- Valid 442A Industrial Electrician license is required.
- 309A license may be considered with relevant industrial and PLC experience.
- Working experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, including programming and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in high-speed manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Previous plant maintenance experience is preferred.
- Ability to work safely with electrical panels, transformers, and high-voltage systems.
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment and support urgent equipment issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive JIT manufacturing.
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 quality standards.
- Experience supporting robotics, rail guided carts, lift assists, torque tools, and conveyor systems.
