Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician for a direct hire opportunity with a growing frozen food manufacturing operation in Concord, ON. This is a hands-on, 100% on-site role supporting packaging and process machinery in a fast-paced production environment.

The Industrial Electrician will play a key role in keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, installations, equipment electrification, PLC support, and electrical documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed 442A Electrician or 309A Electrician with strong industrial manufacturing experience who enjoys problem solving, working with automated equipment, and contributing to a dependable maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, wire, electrify, and commission new machinery and equipment, including power supply wiring, conduit, electrical panels, and related components.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, packaging equipment, process machinery, automation, PLCs, HMI systems, and control circuits.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and ensure safe, reliable operation of production equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and equipment specifications.
- Prepare electrical maintenance reports, track trends, summarize findings, and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability.
- Maintain ESA-required documentation, perform quality checks on completed work, manage required parts, and follow health, safety, housekeeping, and PPE standards.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay rate: $43 to $45 per hour, with some flexibility for the right candidate.
- Location: Concord, ON.
- Work arrangement: 100% on site.
- Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Overtime available.
- Must be flexible to work weekends when required.
- Standard benefits after 90 days, 80/20 plan.
- Vacation: 2 weeks, with possible flexibility based on candidate experience.
- Must have own tools. Company will replace tools broken on site.
- No RRSP currently, with the company reviewing possible implementation.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Design and install electrical panels for machinery and production equipment.
- Program, troubleshoot, and support automated machinery, PLCs, HMI systems, and related controls.
- Complete preventive maintenance, documentation, safety checks, and electrical compliance tasks.

- Licensed Certified Industrial Electrician, 442A required, or 309A with PLC exposure.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of Canadian experience with packaging and process machinery.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, wiring, electrical controls, and legislated electrical standards.
- Experience with HMI and OMRON systems.
- Ability to follow electrical codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a cold, wet food manufacturing environment.
- Physically fit and able to access rooftop equipment as required.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, documentation, teamwork, and equipment reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in frozen food, food processing, packaging, or similar regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong background working with automated packaging lines and process machinery.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement, downtime reduction, and reliability-focused maintenance initiatives.
