Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Material Handler and Forklift Operator for a direct hire opportunity in a busy automotive parts manufacturing environment near Rutherford and Keele. This role is ideal for a safety-focused, reliable candidate with strong forklift experience and a background in shipping, receiving, and production support.

As a Material Handler, you will play an important role in keeping materials moving efficiently throughout the facility. You will operate counterbalance and reach forklifts, support loading and unloading, build and wrap pallets, and ensure production teams have the materials they need to stay on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate counterbalance and reach forklifts safely in a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading materials.
- Build, wrap, stage, and move pallets to support warehouse and production flow.
- Move raw materials, components, and finished goods to designated production or storage areas.
- Maintain accuracy when handling materials, verifying loads, and supporting inventory movement.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures while lifting, moving, and organizing materials.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour.
- Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Operate counterbalance and reach forklifts in a manufacturing setting.
- Support shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and material movement.
- Build and wrap pallets while keeping materials organized and production-ready.
- Move materials to production areas safely and efficiently.

- Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience required.
- Valid forklift certification required.
- Experience operating both counterbalance and reach forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
- Strong attention to detail when handling, staging, and moving materials.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to follow warehouse and production procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in automotive parts manufacturing or a similar production environment.
- 3 to 5 years of material handling, forklift, shipping, or receiving experience.
- Familiarity with warehouse organization, pallet staging, and production support processes.
