We are seeking a Material Analyst / Purchasing Specialist to support a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for purchasing raw steel and related materials, ensuring production has the materials needed while maintaining strong supplier and customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing, with direct experience sourcing raw steel or metal materials.

Key Responsibilities
Purchase raw steel and related materials to support manufacturing operations
Monitor material requirements, inventory levels, and production schedules
Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery timelines, and order accuracy
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable material supply
Analyze purchasing data and material usage to support cost control initiatives
Work closely with production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure materials meet production demands
Provide customer service support related to material availability and order timelines
Track purchase orders, shipments, and supplier performance
Resolve supply or delivery issues quickly to minimize production delays
Maintain accurate purchasing records within ERP systems
Qualifications
3–5 years of purchasing experience, ideally in automotive manufacturing
Experience purchasing raw steel or metal materials preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication abilities
Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or related field considered an asset
