Position Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Planner to support manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely availability of raw materials and components. This role focuses on supply planning, MRP execution, and supplier coordination to keep production running smoothly while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute supply plans to meet production demand while minimizing excess and shortages
- Analyze forecasts and orders to develop material requirements and planning strategies
- Create and manage purchase orders based on MRP and production schedules
- Monitor supplier performance and expedite materials as needed
- Identify and resolve material shortages, supply risks, and capacity constraints
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align priorities
- Track and report delivery status and planning performance
- Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and reduction of obsolete stock
- Use data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in planning, materials, or supply chain within manufacturing
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (Syspro is an asset)
- Experience with demand planning, inventory management, and supplier coordination
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, stamping, plastics) is an asset
- APICS/CPIM or similar certification is a plus
