Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler for a direct hire opportunity in Scarborough, ON within the automotive and parts manufacturing sector. This role is ideal for a hands-on assembler with strong custom machine building experience, excellent blueprint reading skills, and the ability to produce high-quality mechanical assemblies within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble machinery, equipment, tooling, sub-assemblies, and main machine assemblies using blueprints, bills of material, travelers, and assembly drawings.
- Operate hand tools, portable power tools, measuring tools, forklifts, and cranes safely and effectively.
- Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues, identify problems, and communicate required changes or concerns to supervisors and engineering.
- Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Plan daily work, maintain an organized work area, complete labour sheets, and achieve daily assembly targets and milestone deadlines.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including PPE use, pre-use inspections, lockout procedures, and Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $47,840 to $49,920 per year.
