Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Assemblers for a direct hire opportunity in Scarborough, ON. Key Responsibilities

- Assemble machinery, equipment, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies using blueprints, bills of materials, and assembly documentation.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, cranes, and precision measuring instruments to complete assembly work safely and accurately.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, inspect completed assemblies, and verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, and production team members to report discrepancies, support design improvements, and resolve assembly concerns.
- Plan and prioritize daily work to meet production targets, project milestones, delivery schedules, and quality expectations.
- Maintain accurate production records, including labour sheets, task tracking, time allocation, and related documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Assemble custom machinery and mechanical equipment from blueprints, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
- Complete mechanical troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and quality checks on sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
- Use hand tools, power tools, material handling equipment, and precision measuring instruments in a production environment.
- Support production deadlines while maintaining safety, accuracy, and quality standards.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant mechanical assembly experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and technical instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve assembly issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work with minimal rework.
- Ability to work safely while following company policies, lockout procedures, PPE requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with supervisors, engineering staff, and production team members.
- Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and meet tight production deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- 5 years of experience in new custom machine building.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Forklift certification.
- Crane certification.
- Experience producing quality assemblies within tight timeframes and deadline-driven production environments.
