Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.

- Salary range: $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
- Hourly rate: $40 to $43 per hour, with potential flexibility up to $45 per hour.

- Straight afternoon shift: 2:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

- Paid for 8 hours per day.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Millwright for a direct hire opportunity in Burlington, ON with a manufacturing environment focused on metal stamping, robotic weld cells, and related production equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Industrial Millwright who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and keeping high-volume manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, breakdown support, and project-based maintenance work on production and facility equipment.
- Examine, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain metal stamping machines, robotic weld cells, presses, straighteners, decoilers, compressors, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic circuit systems to minimize downtime and support continuous plant operations.
- Inspect facility and production equipment to identify irregularities, potential malfunctions, and safety concerns.
- Complete small fabrication, welding, fitting, and conventional machining tasks using equipment such as milling machines and grinders.
- Support maintenance activities for facility equipment, including HVAC systems and overhead cranes, as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and equipment troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Maintain and repair metal stamping machines, robotic weld cells, presses, and related production equipment.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to support continuous plant operation.
- Complete fabrication, fitting, welding, and machining tasks as needed.
- Ontario Industrial Millwright license, 433A, is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Millwright is required.
- Minimum 5 years of metal stamping and/or robotic weld manufacturing experience is required.
- Automotive industry experience is heavily preferred.
- Strong experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ability to read, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Safety-focused, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.

Preferred Qualifications

- Fabrication experience is considered an asset.
- Experience maintaining facility HVAC equipment is considered an asset.
- Experience working with overhead cranes is considered an asset.
- Conventional machining experience using milling machines and grinders is an asset.
