Job Description

A growing company in Barrie is seeking a part-time Office Administrator / Accounting Clerk to support daily office operations and assist with accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing both administrative and financial tasks in a busy office environment.

The successful candidate will assist with bookkeeping, invoicing, and office coordination while ensuring accurate financial record keeping.

Key Responsibilities
Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Prepare, issue, and track client invoices and payments
Use Sage 50 to manage accounting entries and financial records
Maintain spreadsheets and reports using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Complete bank runs and deposits as required
Answer phones, respond to emails, and provide general administrative support
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
Assist with scheduling and general office coordination
Support management with additional administrative and accounting duties as needed
Requirements
Previous experience in office administration, bookkeeping, or accounting support
Experience using Sage 50 accounting software
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong data entry accuracy and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle for occasional bank runs
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
Excellent communication and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
