Job Summary

We are hiring a Production Associate for a direct hire opportunity in Surrey, BC, within a manufacturing and steel fabrication environment. This role is ideal for a reliable, hands-on candidate with 1 to 2 years of production or manufacturing experience who is comfortable with physically demanding work and enjoys being part of a busy operations team.

As a Production Associate, you will support the fabrication of infrastructure products, work with rebar and steel materials, and assist with material handling, shipping, and receiving. This is a steady full-time opportunity with daytime hours, a supportive team environment, and the chance to build practical experience in metal fabrication and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Work in a production and steel fabrication setting, supporting the fabrication of infrastructure products on various production lines.
- Handle and move rebar, steel materials, and finished products safely and efficiently.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading materials.
- Use a pump truck to move materials throughout the facility.
- Perform repetitive lifting and physical tasks while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in a warmer manufacturing environment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $25.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Surrey, BC.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support production line operations for steel fabrication and infrastructure products.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and material movement.
- Use a pump truck to transport materials safely within the facility.
- Perform repetitive heavy lifting and physically demanding production tasks.

- 1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or similar industrial environment.
- Prior experience working in production is required.
- Comfortable working with steel, rebar, and heavy materials.
- Must have steel toe safety boots.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a warmer environment.
- Strong attention to safety, reliability, and productivity.
- Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and maintain a steady work pace.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in steel fabrication, metal fabrication, rebar handling, or construction materials manufacturing.
- Previous experience using a pump truck in a production or warehouse environment.
- Experience assisting with shipping and receiving in an industrial setting.
