Job Summary
We are recruiting multiple Structural Engineers for remote contract opportunities supporting engineering services projects across industrial and advanced facilities environments. These roles are fully remote within Canada, giving qualified candidates the flexibility to work from home while contributing to complex structural engineering analysis and design work.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural engineering analysis and design for traditional steel and concrete structures under the appropriate level of supervision.
- Apply engineering judgment to evaluate, select, and adapt structural engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Support lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic requirements using applicable building code provisions.
- Check calculations, review work for accuracy, and maintain a high standard of quality control.
- Manage assigned structural scope, workload, schedule commitments, budget expectations, and deliverable quality.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, or mentorship to designers, drafters, and less experienced engineers as appropriate by level.
Compensation and Benefits
- Contract/Temporary opportunity.
- Fully remote role. Candidates may live anywhere in Canada.
- Candidate must provide home internet service required to meet project performance expectations.
- Structural Engineer, Career Level: $67 to $75 per hour.
- Structural Engineer, Professional Associate: $55 to $61 per hour.
- Structural Engineer, Professional Intermediate: $45 to $50 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform structural analysis and design for industrial and engineering services projects.
- Apply US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
- Use structural engineering tools and collaboration platforms to support design, analysis, review, and coordination.
- Manage assigned project scope, communicate progress, identify scope changes, and support quality deliverables.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering is required.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, lateral analysis, wind design, seismic design, and code-based design requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
- High attention to detail, commitment to checking work, and ability to seek guidance when needed.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned work, meet commitments, and deliver timely, accurate, and cost-effective results.
- Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
- Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
- Experience with structural engineering analysis software and project tools such as Navisworks and Bluebeam.
Career Level Requirements:
- Career Level requires a Professional Engineer License, PE or PEng, and a minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience.
- Career Level candidates should be proficient with STAAD Pro and RAM.
Professional Level Requirements:
- Professional Associate level requires a Professional Engineer License, PE or PEng, and a minimum of 4 years of structural engineering experience.
Professional Intermediate requirements:
- Professional Intermediate level requires Engineer in Training, EIT, certification and a minimum of 2 years of structural engineering experience.
