Vancouver based organization is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join their team in a short-term temp role.
**This will be for approx. 5 weeks**
**Fully remote position**
Pay rate range: $30-40/hr
Full-time, Mon-Fri schedule (flexibility with shift)
Primary Duties:
• Assisting with project of auditing T4’s
• Reviewing earnings and deduction calculations and transmitting payroll information and ensures accuracy and meets all timelines.
• Performs calculations and analysis for salary overpayments, retroactive payments, contract adjustments and other related pay adjustments.
• Reconciling year end reports
• Responds to enquiries from Team Members, People Leaders, benefit carriers, Pension Corporation, Worksafe and other external bodies by providing information and explanations on payroll related issues.
• Provides assistance to supervisor in reviewing and recommending payroll procedures and related requirements
• Performs calculations and analysis for salary overpayments, retroactive payments, contract adjustments and other related pay adjustments.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:
• Related education – PCP certification an asset - an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• 2 or more years’ experience with complex payroll within Canada
• Knowledge of SAP Success factors is an asset
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail working with high volume
• Excellent Excel skills a requirement
• Good work ethic
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions and work with limited supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in working with employee information.
• Knowledge of the methods, practices, and procedures employed in the preparation and processing of payrolls.
• Knowledge of legislation, rules and regulations affecting payroll including taxation, employment standard, WCB, EI, etc
