Job Summary

We are recruiting 5 experienced Utility Linemen for direct hire opportunities supporting electrical utility construction, maintenance, and emergency restoration projects across Toronto. Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
- Perform pole line construction, conductor installation, transformer installation, equipment maintenance, and related utility work.
- Install and replace utility poles, crossarms, insulators, hardware, and distribution components.
- String, sag, and tension conductors in accordance with utility standards and project requirements.
- Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and specialized utility equipment safely and efficiently.
- Respond to emergency outages, storm restoration work, and field service requirements as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
- Perform pole line construction, conductor work, transformer installation, and utility equipment maintenance.
- Operate utility vehicles and equipment, including bucket trucks and digger derricks.
- Complete work safely in energized and de-energized environments while following utility regulations and company procedures.

- Utility Lineperson certification or recognized apprenticeship completion.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant utility line experience preferred.
- Previous experience working on overhead and/or underground electrical distribution systems.
- Working knowledge of electrical utility construction practices, utility standards, and safe work procedures.
- Ability to climb utility poles and work safely at heights.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, utility prints, specifications, and work orders.
- Valid Class DZ or AZ driver’s licence preferred, or willingness to obtain.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to complete daily job reports, hazard assessments, equipment inspections, and safety documentation.
- Willingness to travel throughout Ontario and participate in emergency restoration work when required.
- Commitment to following OHSA, EUSR, and company safety policies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Working at Heights Certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Utility Arborist experience.
- Chainsaw Certification.
- Traffic Control or Book 7 Certification.
- Confined Space Training.
- Crane or hoisting experience.
