If you can weld aluminum, master both MIG and TIG, lead a crew, and solve problems without needing someone to hold the blueprint—or your hand—we should talk! This stable company near Oshawa is looking for an experienced Welder/Fitter with hands-on foreman or supervisory experience who can hit the ground running. Supervisor experience is an asset but not mandatory.
You’ll join a long-tenured team that enjoys monthly lunches, company parties, and long weekends with Fridays off. The company closes for two weeks in August and two weeks in December, so your vacation planning is practically done for you.
Additional Skills
Read and interpret fabrication drawings for welding/assembly, tolerances) and civil drawings
Operate job related equipment (cut off saw, iron worker, hydraulic presses, shears, drill presses, torches, oxygen lances, pneumatic/power actuated tools, & plasma cutters)
Fabricate and weld both small and large fabrications
Inspect raw materials and finished product to meet specification
Fit and assemble simple as well as complex assemblies
Good housekeeping practices at all times, to help maintain safe work areas for yourself and your co-workers
