We are currently hiring for a Dock Team Lead in the Mississauga area

Full-Time permanent

Location Mississauga
Salary $25/hr + Benefits
Shift 12:30am-9am
Important Notes Must be able to pass a crim check & Must be PR or CAD Citizen

Keys to filling:
3*5 years of team Lead Experience within Dock Operations,
Stability on resume – not interested in job hoppers
Must be Counterbalance & Reach Certified
Looking for a hands on leader – will be working alongside the team ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks
Computer Literacy – experience with TMW would be considered an asset
PR/Citizen


JOB PURPOSE
• Get trucks loaded and off loaded on time.
Picking and receiving is done correctly
Responsible for supporting supervisor with dock staff and day to day activities


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Training of new floor staff or retraining of existing floor staff
? Picking/receiving orders for customers
? Follow processes/practices and uphold processes/practices with floor staff
? Audit employee forklift inspections weekly
? Provide coverage of supervisor when on vacation or personal day
? Monthly building and fire extinguishers inspections
? Point of contact for all internal floor needs
2. Issue Resolution of floor related issues. Report finding to supervisor
? Communicating with customers, If necessary
? Expediting shipments to be serviced
3. Safety
? Complying on safety principles and protocols at all times
? Uphold safety processes/practices with floor staff
? Completing daily safety checklists (RBI). Split duty with supervisor
? Reporting all accidents and incidents to supervisor
4. Housekeeping
? Maintaining a clean and neat work area
? Communicate internal and external customers as needed
5. Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
